Pass Times
- For a Good Time Call... |
Pass Times in
Valparaiso in my kind of place: relaxing, good food, attractive,
laid back. It is well-known as a restaurant for casual
get-togethers. Although Pass Times may be a bit hard to find (217
E. Lincolnway, just west of the historic Porter County Courthouse), my
bet is you'll be pleased when you locate this hard-to-spot spot. |
Some of the menu
items, which are posted on the walls (no traditional menus as far as I
know), include chicken fajitas, smothered chicken, Italian beef
sandwich, and a 10 oz. sirloin steak. Most dishes are in the price
range of $8.95 to $11.95. |
But if you're
looking for variety (or a menu of sorts), the beer list is where you'll
find the most options. I didn't count too precisely, but I'm
confident there are over 70 beers to choose from at Pass Times. In
truth, the food menu is not all that varied, but the drink list
definitely is. If you have a favorite brew that is a rarity at
most places, give Pass Times a try; it's likely they'll have it. |
A nice plus to
Pass Times is that they frequently have live musical
entertainment. It really is a nice place for a date, maybe even a
first date since there are some good conversation starters surrounding
you: the antique wood bar, the live entertainment, the darkened
room, heck, even the congregated after-hours lawyers can be entertaining
to watch. Pass Times seems to be a favorite for local attorney
types. You can't beat good food, drink and good old fashioned
people-watching. Okay, so maybe people-watching is the best for
first dates, but you get the idea. |
Anyway, have fun
at Pass Times if you go. It seems to be an ideal place for just
that. |
