Can you please back up that claim?

That the pyrotechnic company that puts on the St. John display uses fireworks made in China?..it was my understanding these companies manufactured their own....

as for celebrations...I guess for someone who has never defended or fought for it, celebrating the independence of our country has a little more meaning to some of us than it does to you sployts...

Same way with Memorial Day...for you it's White Sales and shopping for shoes or who knows what else you faggots do...

For me it's getting up early in the morning and placing American Flags (MADE IN THE U.S.A) on the graves of forgotten war veterans in local cemeteries then trying to get back in time for Memorial Services....and then a brat and a beer...

We don't even need to discuss Veterans Day...

Mike Royko said it better...

Tell me splats....should we eliminate Cinco De Mayo parades? I mean I can only guess how much a city would spend on the extra police. public works etc....but i wouldn't hesitate to say it's substantial...

what do say spleens?...would that be Patriotic? as you say? to eliminate Cinco De Mayo parades?..

Ahh.

And this is absolutely the last time he'll ever post on this board.
Ever.

What's your point? Is it your intent to have a circle-jerk message board filled with nothing but neocon nutcases who agree with each other? If you have the intelligence to rebut my contentions, bring it on,pal. You sure as hell couldn't do it on the NOFREE forum where personal attacks aren't allowed.

I couldn't do it on the NOFREE forum because dissent was not allowed.

The biggest crock of it all is that the town of St John, cancels the one ONE event, where MOST of the community comes out for. Not to mention that it is a celebration of our INDEPENDENCE, not friggin Halloween. I understand the need to cancel excess unnecessary financial expenditures, and respect the board for recognizing that the budget needs to be trimmed, but I am extremely disappointed in the cancellation of the 4th of July fireworks. And yes, comedian, where the hell if Jeff Fryzel now?

It kills me that neanderthals like yourself feel the only way that you can celebrate the 4 of July is to shoot of $17,000 worth of fireworks that were made in China.I think the St. John town council made a truly patriotic decision to not use American tax dollars to help the Chinese economy. If you feel so strongly about the need to support the Chinese economy by buying their crap, put a friggin Wal-Mart in St.John.I'm sure they'll gladly underwrite a fireworks display on the 4 of July so they can sell morons like you Chinese products 365 days a year.

You don't know me from adam, so don't think you can put a label on me like you like to do others. You once again, through your hatred and bitterness have totally missed the point. I NEVER said that was the only way to celebrate our nations freedom, only that it was a more attended event than others done in town. I am not aware of where the fireworks are purchased from or made, and you probably don't either. I NEVER said anything about supporting the chinese economy, and frankly don't buy their crap whenever it is avoidable, right on down to my dog's food and treats. I would totally oppose a Walmart in St John just like I apposed the other worthless crappy strip malls et all. I have a personal concern for this town, as it is the one I live in. I, if you bothered to read instead of react, congratualted the board for cutting back but will not go out on the limb with you and say it was patriotic. And finally, I do not appreciate being called a moron, neanderthal etc. Keep your friggin comments to yourself when it comes to me, I don't appreciate it nor will I tolerate it. I am pretty fair on these boards so stay away you creepy being.

It wasn't that long ago you made a post about me and a dead gay porn star. Why are you even looking at stuff like that,Freakshow? That's some weird stuff, pal.

If people really want a fireworks show, they can always take up a collection to put one on.

You can say the same thing about a good many government programs.

They should dock all city workers a day of pay on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and take the money to pay for fireworks on the 4th of July.
