LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An Occupy Louisville protester was arrested and charged for failing to register as a sex offender.

Donald Baum was arrested at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and charged with failure to comply with the Kentucky Sexual Offender Registration.

Baum was also arrested Sunday, during a protest at Chase Bank in the Highlands, where he was charged with 3rd degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental operations and 2nd degree disorderly conduct.

Baum entered a plea of not guilty to the charges he failed to register and remains in custody.

He is due back in court on March 8 for the charges against him Sunday and March 12 for failing to register.

I haven't seen any evidence of rapes.

(Denver Post) — A parasite could do what Denver police have not: Drive off homeless people and Occupy Denver protesters who sleep along the Broadway sidewalk between Colfax Avenue to 14th Avenue.

The city announced Monday afternoon it will now make regular “clean sweeps” to clear the right of way of sleeping bags, blankets and other personal possessions, after one of the people who sleep along the edge of Civic Center park was found to have scabies, a skin-burrowing mite, on Friday.

The man, who has not been named, had an outstanding warrant and allegedly told police he had scabies as he was being arrested. Police called the Denver Department of Environmental Health, which confiscated the man’s belongings and cleared the area of other items.

Such sweeps of belongings left on the sidewalk will now become routine.

While skin-to-skin contact is normally necessary to spread scabies, the mites can survive up to two days in bedding and clothing “making ongoing cleaning of this area essential,” the city stated.

(NBC) — A member of the Occupy New Haven movement was raped in a tent at the Occupy camp overnight on Monday, police said.

Police said a woman went to find the victim on Tuesday afternoon because she had not seen her.

She went to the woman’s tent and called for her, but there was no answer, so she looked inside the tent and found the woman, police said.

The victim wasn’t able to respond, police said, so the witness yelled out to other Occupiers to call police and emergency medical services.

At some point, the victim told the witness she had been raped in a tent at the camp, police said.

Police responded to the camp at 3:25 p.m. The victim was brought to Yale-New Haven Hospital and police charged England Gamble, 53, of New Haven, with first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint.

I haven't seen any evidence of rapes.

More overnight violence at an Occupy San Francisco encampment leaves one man recovering from a stab wound.

It happened near the Federal Reserve Bank on Market Street in the Financial District just after 11:30 Monday night. Police found a man suffering from a stab wound to his neck. Investigators say he was arguing with the suspect over an undisclosed issue before the attack. The 27-year old victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

This latest round of violence comes a day after another stabbing at the same location on Sunday night. A 28-year old man is still in critical condition after being attacked. Police are also searching for the suspect.

(IFA) — Zot L. Szurgot allegedly walked out of her house naked, turned to five of her neighbors and started wagging her penis.

Szurgot, a 52-year-old transgender man who identifies as both a man and a woman, was arrested Wednesday by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office for indecent exposure and lewd behavior.

Of the five people who saw Szurgot’s sexual equipment, one was a 10-year-old boy. Another was his 4-year-old sister.

Szurgot stood about 100 feet from her neighbors, an arrest report states, completely nude.

The boy told officers “the man was naked and shook his wee-wee at me.”

The children’s mother said she wanted to press charges, as did another adult who said he saw more of Szurgot than he preferred, according to police.

On her Facebook page, Szurgot cites Occupy Gainesville as her employer.

She has been quoted in multiple Alligator articles about the movement.

We’ve told you in previous reports to expect the increasingly broke, desperate and nomadic Occupy movement to continue to make police the enemy and to make more flailing ‘direct actions’ in an attempt to stir up headlines. In New York City this weekend, they did not disappoint.

As The New York Times East Village Local reported...

Last night’s riotous atmosphere resulted in a sergeant and lieutenant suffering minor injuries while scuffling with anarchist protesters at the Astor Place Starbucks, the police said.

According to police, around 25 people tried smashing the windows of the cafe with eight-foot long steel pipes at around 8:45 p.m. after attending the Anarchist book fair earlier in the day. “Patrons fearing that they would be hit by flying glass hid under tables,” the police said in a statement. “Several” officers were assaulted with pipes and bottles, the police added.

As the news reports, the clash started after the Anarchist Book Fair. Lest you think this is mere coincidence, let’s take a quick look at the some of the workshop offerings presented at the Fair -- which advertises that they welcome children, by the way. So what was being taught at the Anarchist Book Fair prior to Saturday’s attack on a Starbucks and subsequent march calling the police pigs? Here’s a couple of the courses offered:

Occupy Wall Street is becoming mired in an ideological civil war just as it seeks to reestablish itself as a dominant force in American political discourse and openly pushes for a crippling general strike on May 1st.

What’s behind the various Occupy Wall Street (OWS) factions engaging in online squabbles and tweet battles? Believe it or not, Barack Obama. Within the movement, there are those who believe the established Left is trying to co-opt OWS to get President Barack Obama reelected. And it’s causing quite the stir.

In fact, Adbusters — a prominent force in the movement — is calling it a “Battle for the Soul of Occupy.” It is railing against groups like Moveon.org for seeking to piggyback on the enthusiasm and digital organization of the Occupiers to ensure the status quo in the federal government continues for four more years.

But the Occupiers aren’t taking this usurpation lightly. Since Adbusters wrote an article decrying the phenomenon, Occupiers have been rallying to the meme of “Jump, jump, jump over the body of the old dead left.”

Five individuals — at least three of them involved in the far-left Occupy Cleveland movement — were arrested on April 30 in Cleveland in connection with an alleged plot to bomb the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad bridge. The FBI described the arrested individuals as “anarchists.”

Timothy McVeigh was a registered Republican, and had a membership in the National Rifle Association

Numerous protesters at yesterday’s Occupy Wall Street rally in New York City viciously blasted President Obama as a horrible failure, signaling a major break from a liberal base that once celebrated Obama’s lofty rhetoric of hope and change.

“I feel that Obama, especially on the civil liberties perspective, has raped me in the a–,” admitted a shirtless man who donned a purple flower in his hair. “I’m not very happy with his job in the slightest.”

The disillusioned demonstrator, who identified himself as a financial analyst, went on to scold Obama for capitulating to Wall Street bankers and global monetary interests.

“The guy freaks me out a little bit,” the man said. “I’m not going to lie. He’s pretty, and we all think we did something because of his color, and I don’t discount that, but for f—k’s sake, he scares the hell out of me.”
