I had to vote present because I am not certain if Obama is in fact the Commander in Chief. I know it's a phrase often attributed to the officeholder of President but it's a little know secret there are security levels that a President may or may not be granted. Most people just assume that being sworn in automatically grants you an all access pass to everything there is to know but that access is NOT automatic. Some levels are, others are not. Now you may ask what if the President has a need to know but doesn't have clearance. Temporary clearance can be granted as needed.
When the voices in your head told you this, were you on this planet or another one?
So let me get this straight since your sarcastic comment indicates that you think you know it all. Are you claiming that's not how security clearances work? Or are you actually silly enough to believe the military will just turn over the keys to the kingdom to anybody who just manages to get elected? I'm sure even you know that even a member of the House or Senate has to pass security checks just to be on intelligence or defense committees so why would you find it hard to believe that a President would not be automatically exempt?
You seriously expect me to believe this utter nonsense from a batsh!t crazy loon like you?
You're as ignorant as Allen West:
"The president is the one who established the security clearance system by executive order," said Steven Aftergood, a national security and intelligence specialist with the Federation of American Scientists. "Therefore it is nonsensical to speak of clearances higher than what the president has. As head of the executive branch and commander in chief of the armed forces, there is no information in government that could be denied to the president for security reasons if he determined he needed access to that information."
John Pike, the director of globalsecurity.org, agreed. "This is a silly statement," Pike said. "The only clearance the president needs is the mandate of the people....
The other interpretation -- that West's clearance, either today or in the past -- was higher than any president's is ridiculously false. The president has the highest security clearance in the land. We rate West's claim Pants on Fire."
