Fun Fact Of The Day: Obama Has Played 48 Days Worth Of Golf Since Taking Office

Image

Coincidentally, those were America’s safest 48 days since he took office.

President Obama has had a chance to yell “FORE” at least 5,238 times as president after playing his 291st round of golf Saturday.

His latest outing, to the course at Fort Belvoir Golf Course in Northern Virginia, means he has played over 48 full, 24-hour days of golf, and probably more since he can average over four hours per round.

On Saturday, he played with his usual partners, according to a White House pool report.

Obama Scrambling To Release As Many As He Can From Gitmo Before He Leaves Office

It isn’t about ‘fulfilling his promise’, it’s about letting them go.

The Obama administration is running out of time and options to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center in Cuba, so officials are scrambling to release as many prisoners as possible and considering novel legal strategies that include allowing some men to strike plea deals by video-teleconference and sending others to foreign countries to be prosecuted.

But it looks to be little, too late to close the prison before President Barack Obama leaves office in January, denying him the chance to fulfill a campaign pledge.

There’s the difficulty in transferring prisoners from the U.S. base in Cuba, questions about the legality of plea deals and solid opposition in Congress to anything that might help Obama achieve that promise.

Obama Insists Manhattan Will Be Underwater Due To Global Warming

Same guy who predicted his presidency would end racial tensions in America.

President Barack Obama insists that Americans have to take climate change seriously, or else a key part of one the world’s greatest cities could end up underwater.

“When scientists tell us that the planet is getting warmer and we need to do something about it, the majority of people think that’s a good idea, let’s do something about that, because we don’t want Manhattan to be underwater,” Obama said during a fundraiser in New York City.

Obama observed that people are frustrated by the current presidential election campaign.

Obama Refuses To Take Selfies With U.S. Troops

A vain moron surrounded by yes men.

On a recent trip to Asia, President Obama was forced to confront some of the biggest issues of his presidency: rising Chinese aggression, climate change, a rocky global economy.

He also had to deal with a less weighty, but stubbornly persistent problem that has dogged him throughout his second term: the scourge of the selfie.

He complained that patrons pestered him for a selfie at his hotel gym in Vietnam. On a sidewalk in Hanoi, his most enthusiastic admirers spun away from him so they could take a selfie shot with the president in the background.

No sooner had Obama arrived at a U.S. Marine Corps base in Iwakuni, Japan, than he felt compelled to issue an order to the cheering troops: He would shake hands, but no selfies. “Otherwise, I’ll be here all day,” he said.

I guess what they would have us believe is that the onus for these now almost daily cataclysms is on each and everyone of us...except, of course, the guy in charge. - Dennis Miller

With today's attack in Munich, plus the recent attacks in Orlando and Nice, the question you have got to ask yourself is: Are you safer now than you were eight years ago, and do you want to keep going down the same road that President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton have us on?

President Obama to Republicans: I won. Deal with it.

Key moments from President Obama's speech the morning after Congress passed a deal to raise the debt ceiling and reopen the government. (The Washington Post)

A visibly frustrated President Obama delivered a blunt message to Republicans with whom he had feuded over the government shutdown and the debt ceiling over the past month on Tuesday: Elections matter. I won; you lost. Deal with it.

Obama 'Elections have consequences':

“Elections have consequences.” It’s the political way for winners to tell losers: “Tough luck, you lost. Get over it.”

President Obama infamously espoused this view shortly after his 2009 inauguration, during a meeting with congressional Republicans about his economic proposals. Mr. Obama was later quoted as telling GOP leaders that “elections have consequences,” and, in case there was any doubt, “I won.”
