you know I sit and read this stuff, hear on radio, or see in tv programs.

things have got to change in this country or we will
have lost it.

it is no longer a free country. the schools are a problem in some areas. with what they teach or in some cases how they treat the kids.

it is if the people and this country have lost their way.

in my youth I even when out and demonstrated.
went to council meetings, and all of that.

but like I told my daughter tonight. I'm in my mid
60's. I still call my reps etc. But it is getting time
for the younger people to answer the call to keep
this country free.

our guys and gals that have served their county have
done their share.

my spouse, (cuban crisis for starters) in-laws, cousins
uncles they have been to WW2 Patton's Red Ball Express. Korea and so on.

it is time for our young people to come forward and
stand tall. We olders ones can tell, and show them.
But this country is their future. They also have to fight. With words, votes, calling their reps etc.
or like the tea bag group.

So you are asking the younger generations to clean up the mess your generation made?

It's the baby boomers that have F'd this whole country up. Remember it was called the "ME" generation for a reason. Your generation turned out to be the most selfish generation there has ever been. All at the expense of the future.

All that hippy peace, love and happiness crap was for show until you took power. Then it has all been downhill since.

Thanks a lot for that .......

well now you don't know me.
but back in the old days, you had to be a lot
older to vote then now a days.

I didn't get to vote until 1966.

I didn't do Kennedy, Johnson etc.

I didn't think that we should have been in Nam.
caused more then a few disagreements in the household here. lol

I didn't think that Bush was best pick

I didn't vote for Obama.

I can't even get the Washington Reps out, that I have wanted out for years.

A lot of the things that are going on now is going
to effect everyone in the future.

and a lot of the younger people, and those that
have lost their jobs etc are going to vote for
those that will keep giving them freebies.

Such as
the healthcare
the extended pay benefits
the cash for clunkers
the cash for appliances
the $8,000 help with buying a house
the bailouts of the banks
the bailout of the ins companies
the bailout of the car companies

So you think they should vote for people that are going to cut future social security at the expense of preserving social security for current retirees? So you think they should vote for someone that wants to raise the future retirement age, but allow people near retirement to retire at the current age? Your generation needs to share in the pain for the mess you have created.

It's your generation that has voted for bank bailout after bank bailout. From the S&L crisis to the Asian currency crisis to the bailouts after 9/11 to the current bank bailouts. It's your generation that begged the federal govt to bailout the auto companies to preserve their cushy retirement benefits while selling out future workers. It's your generation that has voted for cash for clunkers and housing tax credits.

Healthcare is a big issue with young voters. Because they don't have it. Again because your generation has screwed up the system so badly. Unemployment is a big issue with young voters. Again because its your generation that sold workers out and made it possible to ship jobs overseas.

Stop yer damn whining.

You are starting to sound like creep540 and his little doggie Chairman Moo.

Anyone can play the blame game (just axe Hussein Obama) and it's just a chickenshit way out of taking responsibility and taking the steps necessary to put this country back on the right path.

Martha is 110% correct.

Republicans and Democrats are guilty alike ... but it all comes from the worst generation that followed the best generation. We can thank them for wrecking the american dream and screwing every generation that comes after them.

Ok ... lets start by cutting social security and medicare 25% right now. Instead of pandering to the boomers for votes. They hold 30% of the population by age group. They hold the largest voting block and continue to be selfish into their old ages.

just a couple of things.
I was born during the war.
so not baby boomer. :)

A baby boomer is a person who was born during the demographic Post-World War II baby boom. The term "baby boomer" is sometimes used in a cultural context, and sometimes used to describe someone who was born during the post-WWII baby boom

but it is most often agreed to begin in the years immediately after the war, ending more than a decade later; birth rates in the United States started to decline in 1957.

Baby Boomers are now middle age and entering senior years

The United States Census Bureau defines the demographic birth boom as between 1946 and 1964.[5]

United States birth rate (births per 1000 population).[6] The United States Census Bureau defines the demographic birth boom as between 1946 and 1964[7] (blue).

2nd. I knew that Obama wasn't going to be good.
a - never held a real job

b - was only in the Ill senate short time before he started to run for U.S. senate.

c - was only in the US senate short time before he before he started his run for Presidnet.

d - the people he was involved with in Ill were not
the best and honest.

e - he did not have the age or experience.

f - he was promising to much

3rd I couldn't figure out what your problem was.
But after thinking on it. I'm sorry that you
are disappointed. You believed Obama.
You voted for Obama. And you are angry.
You are angry at him, at yourself, at the world.

4th I have medicare NEVER USED IT
I also have private ins have't used that since
about 2006.

5th just started getting SS in the last year.
both spouse and I worked and paid in. I'm not
allowed to have it?

Who is part of Generation Me?
Quote:
Generation Me describes anyone born in the 1970s, 1980s, or 1990s -- in 2006, this means people between the ages of 7 and 36. These are today's young people, those who take it for granted that the self comes first.

Sounds like you might be part of the ME generation... You can thank baby-boomers for the electronic age (computers), women's rights, and the best kick-ass music ever made!

And yours is the most arrogant, self righteous, ungrateful wastes of space that ever lived. Little piss-ants who since birth have been nothing but worthless instant gratification and entitlement freaks who have never learned what the words Duty, Honor, Tradition, Teamwork, Hardwork, Experience or even simply Thank You mean while demanding they should get to start at the top because they think they know every fücking thing.
