Mr Perry said: "If this guy [Ben Bernanke] prints more money between now and the election, I don't know what y'all will do to him in Iowa, but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas.

Quote:
The Texas governor said he would view it as "treasonous" if Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke printed more cash between now and the 2012 election.

Quote:
"You don't accuse the chairman of the federal reserve of being a traitor to his country. Of being guilty of treason," Karl Rove told Fox News Tuesday. "And, suggesting that we treat him pretty ugly in texas. You know, that is not, again a presidential statement."

GOP presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann mistakenly wished Elvis Presley a "happy birthday" today during a campaign event in South Carolina.
Presley -- "The King" to music fans everywhere -- died 34 years ago on this date.

Obama: I have it
tougher than Abe Lincoln

Daily Caller, by Neil Munro

President Barack Obama said yesterday in Decorah, Iowa, that he absorbs more political criticism than Abraham Lincoln, the assassinated 16th U.S. president, attracted from his Civil War critics.

The comment came during a question-and-answer session where one invited audience member asked Obama how he deals with his congressional critics in the GOP. “The Congress doesn’t seem to be a good partner. You said so yourself, they’re more interested in seeing you lose than [seeing] the country win,” the questioner lamented.

“Democracy is always a messy business in a big country like this,” Obama responded. “When you listen to what the federalists said about the anti-federalists … those guys were tough. Lincoln, they used to talk about him almost as bad as they talk about me.”

The comparison “is hysterical … that is really laughable in many respects,” said Alvin Felzenberg, the author of a book on American presidents. “You couldn’t print things today they said about Lincoln.” Felzenberg teaches at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, and was the chief spokesman for the 9/11 Commission.

Christine O'Donnell Walks Out During 'Piers Morgan Tonight' Interview
Quote:
"It would appear that the interview has just been ended, because I had the audacity to ask questions based on stuff that's in this book," Morgan said as O'Donnell left the studio.

Quote:
"Do you think Christine O'Donnell is going to put a witch's curse on me now?" Morgan Tweeted on Wednesday night after O'Donnell walked out of a satellite, pre-recorded interview for his CNN talk show, his Tweet a reference to her 2010 admission she "dabbled" in witchcraft.

Boy those repuks can dish it out...but can't take the heat in the kitchen themselves though...TYPICAL LOL

This writer immediately says politicians can't influence the outcome of gasoline prices.

Then just as fast he blames Bush for high gas prices.

And then exonerates DUMBO of any responsibility for any of his failures.

Do you read this guys tripe on a regular basis chuck?

I do know that when DUMBO took office, gas was $1.89 a gallon, and unemployment was below 5%.

[b]that all changed the second DUMBO put his moratoriums and restrictions on domestic oil drilling in place and prices would bottom out just as fast if these restrictions were removed

and it won't cost the taxpayers a cent.

get your head out of Obamas ass chuck...stop trying to look and sound as stupid as the idiot who wrote your article.

And it gets better...
quote:

Former Treasury official Bruce Bartlett labeled newly-minted Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry "an idiot" Friday.
Bartlett, who served at Treasury under former President George H.W. Bush and as a domestic policy adviser to the late President Ronald Reagan, delivered the choice words to the Texas Gov. in reference to his recent comments about Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.

"Rick Perry's an idiot, and I don't think anyone would disagree with that," Bartlett said Friday on CNN's "American Morning.
