Quote:
Good evening. Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who’s responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children.

Quote:
A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.

Quote:
Tonight, we give thanks to the countless intelligence and counterterrorism professionals who’ve worked tirelessly to achieve this outcome. The American people do not see their work, nor know their names. But tonight, they feel the satisfaction of their work and the result of their pursuit of justice.

We give thanks for the men who carried out this operation, for they exemplify the professionalism, patriotism, and unparalleled courage of those who serve our country. And they are part of a generation that has borne the heaviest share of the burden since that September day.

Looks like Obama gave plenty of credit.

Wrong... as usual.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/pakistan/8488004/Osama-Bin-Ladens-body-identified-by-sisters-brain.html

Look. It comes from your precious Telegraph.

Quote:
When his sister, who has not been named, died from brain cancer several years ago in Boston the FBI immediately subpoenaed her body so that it could later be used to identify the al-Qaeda leader if he was caught, it was claimed.

The brain was preserved and tissue and blood samples taken from it were used to compile a DNA profile, ABC News reported.

Quote:
US officials confirmed that the body had been identified by a DNA test conducted in Afghanistan. He was later buried at sea.

s***. I forgot. Republicans don't believe in DNA or science for that matter.

You clearly lack enough common sense to understand the basics about guns and forensic science. Let me dumb it down for you. Shooting someone in the head is going to splatter, blood, brains, ect.

Just because the body was dumped in the ocean doesn't mean they were unable to attain a DNA sample.

I'm quite sure having an understanding about the basics of guns and forensic science would help, but I have a CLEAR understanding that shooting someone in the head is going to splatter, blood, brains, etc because I've had the misfortune to experience wearing another persons brains on my face after a projectile ripped through their head.

And even though I'm not a gunsmith or a forensic scientist I can assure you it's not a very pretty site,...especially when your trying desperately to keep them alive without the same happening to you and then you come to the realization it's no use.

It's something you never really forget.

So no need to dumb it down for me. But thanks anyway.

BTW, where did you gain all your expertise on the subject?

What you COULD do for me is tell me what leads to you believe his body was dumped in the ocean and how that relates to getting his DNA sample. I certainly wouldn't want to misdirect anyone. Please be a little more elaborate on your assessment.

I never claimed expertise, the information I gave should be common knowledge.

It means his whole body is not submerged in a body of water (some of it is on a wall in Pakistan) and that we do have the means of attaining a DNA sample proving his death.

Gee I don't remember that at all.

I seem to remember a great vacuum of leadership coming from the WH before Obama decided to follow the UN's lead.

White House: Nothing to say on Libya

WH: Obama's 9-Day Silence Due To 'Scheduling Issue'

GADDAFI: 'OBAMA IS FRIEND'

The Obama Administration's spineless response to Colonel Gaddafi's reign of terror

Do tyrants fear America anymore? President Obama’s timid foreign policy is an embarrassment for a global superpower

Image

Libya Tanks Move In To Crush Rebel Stronghold

Qaddafi Forces Advance as West Weighs Arab Call for No-Fly Zone

Even Hillary said so as Secretary Of State

Obama's indecision has pushed Clinton over the edge

When finally asked what his policy was, his answer was clear as mud

White House: 'We don’t make decisions ... based on consistency or precedent'

And I would still like an explanation for this quote when he didn't have his teleprompter feeding him lines

Quote:
And that's why building this international coalition has been so important because it means that the United States is not bearing all the cost. It means that we have confidence that we are not going in alone, and it is our military that is being volunteered by others to carry out missions that are important not only to us, but are important internationally. And we will accomplish that in a relatively short period of time.

Here is a hint, the "others" were NOT "CONGRESS"

Isn't the President supposed to get Congressional approval before declaring war?

So just who was he implying "volunteered" the US Military?

Okay, so according to you, "he didn't want to get involved" so why did he?

And why did he do so without Congressional approval?
