What is really laughable is that the Tea Party losers have forced cutbacks in public safety budgets, so the police don't have the manpower to protect the public from attacks like this.
No, no, no. The Tea Party has arrested the ability of various governments to raise taxes at will so they can buy the votes of union hacks and simpleton municipal employees. These governements can still decide how their smaller budgets are to be spent. Your own officials are the ones who choose to cut police and fire funding so that political stooges can keep their taxpayer-funded vehicles and outlandish benefits.
The laughable part is that you think that the general public is a bottomless pit of money that can be tapped anytime some political employee thinks he is due a raise when a large portion of the private sectorvis struggling to make due.
You can also consider the following example of the choices available to municipal officials: Your own Mayor has chosen to buy your vote by partially funding your daughter's college education to the tune of some $30,000 of taxpayer money. Do you think this is the best way to use this "free money" or would it be better spent by directing it to the Hammond police or fire departments? Further, exactly what role did Tea Party members play in this particular choice?
