Defendant: Crystal McCahill
(Chicago Police Department photo / March 19, 2009)
Charge: Driving under the influence
Crystal McCahill, 25, of Wilmette, Playboy's Miss May, 2009, was stopped by Chicago police after allegedly running a red light at Chicago and Wood Avenues on Jan. 7, 2009. She had a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit, according to a police report.
McCahill is the daughter of Gale Olsen, the 1968 Miss August, and was featured on the television show "The Girls Next Door."I did find it odd that the 1st 10 are all mug shots of what appears to be white men, with the exception of this white woman of course. Rather suspicious given the number of blacks and Latinos and Asians in the Chicago area, wouldn't you say? One might almost call it a form of racism.
I looked at the next 4 and found another white woman and a black woman. While that is not the way I intended this post to go, of course, it seems like I stumbled upon a subtle anti-white slur by implication in a major media outlet by stacking the deck up front with whites in a negative light. You have to get to the 17th mug to get to black men and from there to 26 they are all black men. I'm not going to bother with looking at all 172 mugs but fell free! Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.
