WLS Sucks

Chicago radio station WLS, which I listen to quite a bit, has gotten rid of some of its best employees in a cost-cutting move.
Gone are Jake Hartford and Nate Clay, both quirky talk show hosts that I enjoyed very much.
They also dumped Bill Cameron, one of the best newsmen in Chicago. He is a very knowledgeable veteran with many years experience. He has also been the victim of several radio downsizings.
In place of Hartford and Clay, WLS is now broadcasting syndicated reruns. Another blow against live, local talk!
What a shame!

WLS died in the '70s. Along with the hippies.

I'm glad Nate Clay is gone; his singing was just horrible, and he attracted low class people as listeners. I listened to him several times (was not impressed at all)and he was as racist as any white dude could be. He even had some white, bare foted, hill billy gal from Arkansas who used to call him every Saturday night, so she caould spill her guts of hate about the immigrants. He was trash, and he should get a job as a janitor at PUSH headquarters now. And RAID can be his assistant!

Well, give him a call, as a first class janitor...I'm sure you have some "pull."

You can be her boss, toilet plunger. By the way, hillbilly, not hill billy. Gosh, you made my then 2 year olds put you to shame, reciting, spelling and reading - and how old are you? They are in their mid-twenties and can write up contracts....you put a mark on your calendar on each toilet you cleaned.

Well, you certainly are entitled to your opinion. I like to listen to what he says, though. I also like his show on Fox, but I can't stand Alan Colmes.

I like listening to Roe Conn. The best thing about his show is that it is on the same time as the Preacher (WJOB). Guess which show is more entertaining?

I like Roe Conn too, because it is not just political stuff, it's very general.
