What the hell does someone have to do to wish people a Merry Christmas around here without getting hijacked?

Sending some wishes your way Lois

Well, thank you for setting the bar...I really didn't know how low I would have to sink when dealing with you. Apparently, as low as possible.

Well you won't have to worry about that for now... I've decided to be generous this Christmas season and cut you a break.

Like the one Coach BigWhiteGuy carts his Thornton Fractional Losers on before yet another loss? Face it, you and your BigWhiteGuy aren't much different than Artie. Stick to your own state's affairs love. :smt049
Showed this response to BigWhiteGuy and he remembers parts of this conversation on the old Times Board along with bits and pieces on this board. With your references and posting style he told me exactly who you are. On this board (including sockpuppets) and on the infested, dustbowl forum board...Way to show your hand!

(BTW, didn't you, at one time claim that you went to TF North?)

Oh, and Merry Christmas right back at ya...

US Capitol Christmas Tree Honors Obama, Not Jesus Or Christmas

The 63-foot Sierra White Fir lighted at the U.S. Capitol Grounds on Dec. 6 as the official 2011 Capitol Christmas Tree includes a prominently displayed ornament paying homage to President Barack Obama, but includes no ornament readily visible to a person standing near the tree's base that uses the word “Christmas,” or includes an image of the Nativity, or bears the name or image of Jesus Christ.

On the north side of the tree--at a height of about 4 feet and easily visible to people standing near it---there is an ornament that says: “I ♥ President Obama.”

First Lady, Laura Bush, chose particular (non-religious) themes for the White House Christmas Tree and then sent ornaments to related organizations and asked them to select artists to decorate them in accordance with the given theme. In 2007, for example, the theme was "Holiday in National Parks" and ornaments were sent to each of the 391 National Parks in the United States for decoration.

I guess you must not have read the ENTIRE article...There was one ornament with his name on it...The rest of the article was complaining about the types of ornaments that were used...Like I said...a biased web site with a misleading headline...Sorry to the originator of this thread...I will refrain from getting away from the intent of the original concept of this thread...

Was there one ornament on the tree you cited with “I ♥ President Bush”, on it?

You really never miss an opportunity to miss the point, do you?

One ornament does not make a tree a shrine. If that were so, then my tree is a shrine to Larry Bird, Harry Potter, along with maybe hundreds of flakes and ding-a-lings.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

None of them commissioned the tree.
