History is being made in Northwest Indiana.

The election of Hank Adams, a competent and honest Lake County asessor, on November 2 was the first Republican elected to countywide office in 60 years.

Two Lake County Council Districts elected new Republican County Councilmen. the most in memory.

42 Republican officeholders were elected in Lake County on November 2, against 51 Democrats. That is the most Republicans in recent times.

Two elected Democrats have recently switched to the Republican party.

Corrupt Lake County Democrats have been going to prison as regularly as the seasons. But there has not been a Republican officeholder indicted in over 50 years.

The idea that competent, honest officials should hold office in Lake County is gaining hold.

And there is nothing on earth more powerful than an idea whose time has come.
