Max Robinson, Mad Maxx, passed away at Community ICU about 8:30am this morning. He is no longer in pain, and is at peace. Max, who was 52, is survived by his mother, his son, and 2 daughters, and other family.

I am sorry that I did not get to pass on the newest batch of well-wishes from all of you, before Max passed. I got there shortly after 9am, and saw his family leaving the ICU, just before I was ready to walk in. As soon as I find out the arrangements, I will let you know.

I have known Max Robinson for over 20 years. He was a very good-hearted person, and a true Patriot. While we didn't always agree on all things, all the time, his heart was wrapped in the flag which he loved dearly, ALWAYS.

Rest in peace, my friend. You are now in the presence of God.

Death Be Not Proud
by John Donne
(1572-1631)

DEATH be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadfull, for, thou art not so,
For, those, whom thou think'st, thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poore death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleepe, which but thy pictures bee,
Much pleasure, then from thee, much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee doe goe,
Rest of their bones, and soules deliverie.
Thou art slave to Fate, Chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poyson, warre, and sicknesse dwell,
And poppie, or charmes can make us sleepe as well,
And better then thy stroake; why swell'st thou then;
One short sleepe past, wee wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die.

That is very sad news. I am glad his pain has ended, and can only wish his families pain is eventually soothed but the memories they shared.

Max is not gone he is in the minds of many Max lives on he made his mark and will not be soon forgotten.

He did not wavier in his beliefs even in his darkest moments he was Max until he was no more.

Those of you that opposed him gave him the spirit to live on and made his day.

I didn't agree with your lifestyle and I told you so.
We never got along.

Rest in Peace, Max.

I enjoyed the column that Mark wrote. I'm sure Maxx would have liked it to. Maxx posted more than once that he wouldn't be forgotten when he died. It seems he's right on that count.I wonder where Kiesling came up with this piece in his story?
Kiesling wrote:
A regular contributor to the late lamented Times message boards, when he revealed he was ill many wrote to him and wished him well. Although he appreciated the sentiment, he understood fully his method of dying was a result of his own choice.
In the entire thread about Maxx getting cancer, I never read where Maxx acknowledged that his behavior might have the cause of his cancer. I'm surprised he didn't say that the government gave him cancer to silence him.
