Until adults start taking care of their offspring -- caring about their offspring -- and not treating them like fighting kids, nothing is going to change. People do not teach kindness. That's the problem.

Hi, Quickly. I was watching the news, and they were interviewing people who live in Hyde Park where Obama used to live, asking if he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize and why. And they're all saying, "Yes, for all he's accomplished." And when they ask the people, "What has he accomplished," they can't name one single thing. Typical. Liberals live in la-la land.

You got the Chia Obama? Good for you! But I still think it's an awful way to honor him. I wonder what he thinks about it? What if he was so-called "honored" with him as a soap on a rope? Huh?

The national news is reporting there was a strained relationship between the International Olympics Committee and the chairwoman of the U.S. Olympics Committee. She resigned two days ago. Could it be she was responsible for the loss and not Bush or Obama?

Can you believe it? Main Street in Crown Point is being resurfaced just in time to be torn up by the snowplows. Is that poor timing or what?

Between Wirt High School and the fire station, the west side of the street has not been cleaned in years. It is full of leaves, dirt and tree branches, and all the drains are covered completely by this debris. I'd like to know, Mayor Clay, do you read the Quicklies? The place is a mess.

Why should prisoners clean up Gary when the residents of Gary are too lazy to do it themselves and made the mess in the first place?

I live in Chesterton and regularly recycle more than my bin can hold. Last week, I had used my wheelbarrow to move some steel and parked it next to the garbage cart. Now it is gone. I confirmed with the garbage and recycling company that they did not take it. If someone did mistakenly take it, please know that it was not my intention to get rid of it. Could you please return it? It was all steel, brown, shallow, and had a new red wheel and tire on it.
