Post subject:  Indiana House Votes to Stop Taxpayer Protests Of Projects

The house passed a bill which would prevent taxpayers from remonstrance of any government projects, and to prevent projects from being put to a referendum. This is House Bill 1730, pushed by the democrats. The language of this bill says that if the project is a so called "green"(energy efficient) one, it can bypass remonstrances and referendums. What this bill means to us, as taxpayers, is that ANY of the governmental bodies can spend your tax dollars as they please, and you have no say so. This is schools, civil, county, etc. There will be no limits on the amounts they spend, or how often and what they spend it on, as long as it is considered "green".

This still has to go through the senate, and I urge everyone to call your senators on this.
