It's not up on their website, at least not yet, but ABC Tampa had a segment on a mail carrier who got like 3 IL toll road tickets. Problem is he and his vehicle have never been to FL. The man sent them proof that the vehicle listed was not his and that in fact he didn't even receive the plate number or purchase his new vehicle until 2 years after the incidents were reported. The state of IL said that's not proof enough.
So the TV station intervened and IL then asked him to send copies of his time sheets proving he was at work. He said because he drives a Postal truck he coulda even lost his job over this and said an average person couldn't get anywhere with that state.
I think stories like this need to be kept in mind as Hammond decides on whether to pursue the red light cameras it approved. There needs to be a responsive mechanism to catch or correct such obvious mistakes in the system.
