Two men were killed and several others, including two teenage boys, were wounded in separate overnight shootings across the city, Chicago police said this morning.
In the latest fatal shooting, police said a 47-year-old man sitting inside a vehicle was shot in chest by an unknown gunman near 98th and Throop streets at about 12:40 a.m. this morning.

A man, 22, was shot in the chest at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of East 74th Street. He was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital in “stable†condition. The gunman, who wore a T-shirt wrapped around his face, remained at large.
A 54-year-old man, was shot in the chest in the 6600 block of South State Street in the Park Manor neighborhood at about 10:20 p.m., police said. He was taken to Stroger in critical condition, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.
A 24-year-old man was shot in the arm and leg during a robbery attempt in the 7800 block of South Yates Boulevard at about 12:05 a.m. Monday. The victim went to South Shore Hospital and was listed in good condition.
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks as he rode his bicycle in the 6900 block of South Campbell Avenue at about 2 a.m. He was taken to Christ in good condition. The gunman, last seen inside a blue vehicle, fled the scene.
A 16-year-old boy was shot in the face in the 600 block of North Sawyer Avenue at about 2:50 a.m. He was taken to Mount Sinai in “stable†condition.
A man, 33, was sitting in a car in the 1500 block of West Garfield Boulevard just after 4 a.m., when a gunman approached and shot him in the chest. The victim was taken to Stroger in critical condition.
