City of Hammond Annual Job Fair
The City of Hammond will be hosting its
annual job fair on Thursday, April 5, 2007 from 11:00am until 4:00pm at the Jean Shepherd Community Center
Financial, Service, Education, Healthcare, Gaming, Trade Unions, and other industries representing Northwest Indiana and Illinois will be represented.
A Human Resource Panel representing participating businesses will be on hand to offer “keys to success†for the job seeker. This presentation will take place at 1:00p.m.
Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr. states “Every year the Annual Job Fair is more successful!†The Annual Job Fair gives residents the opportunity to meet employers from various industries.â€
The event is free to companies and participants. The 2006 Annual Job Fair assisted over 1,500 people.

Purdue Calumet hosts Manufacturing Industry Job Fair (3/21)

HAMMOND, Ind. —
Purdue University Calumet Office of Career Services along with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Calumet Chapter 112, will host a Manufacturing Industry Job Fair, Friday, March 30 from noon to 4 p.m. The event is open to students, alumni and community members and will be held in the Fitness & Recreation Center gym.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available as well as internships, co-ops and other types of experiential learning opportunities. Some 35 employers are expected to attend.
Admission is free.
