Did you watch the debate tonight? Who do you think won? I'm not sure either one scored any major points and changed many minds. I was kind of disappointed to hear both of them concede the need for the huge financial bailout. I think either one will do a better job than Bush. |

Obama proved he could be a leader of this country. McCain did okay but still comes off as an angry old man. Obama got a bump from the debate in the polls. |

I didn't think that O'bama ackowledged the fact that with this bailout, some of his programs might have to go. He told Matt Lauer previously that "ya, probably" something would have to go. However in the debates, when asked how the bailout would change their spending, Mc Cain clearly said, less government, less spending, cuts...Obama continued on his political campaign promising programs, health care etc, and didn't talk at all about cutting spending. If he would have said that, I would have thought he was being more truthful and addressing the question better. |
