State Rep. Frank Mrvan deserves kudos for authoring the state law that removed Pabey from office as soon as the guilty verdict was rendered. According to the Times story, the courtroom was filled with EC dept. heads. This makes the second conviction of an EC public official this week. EC Library head Manuel Montavlo and his wife were both convicted of charges stemming from an arrest in Chicago earlier this week. The story also contains a link to a video taken during the arrest.
