I believe Thomas McDermott Sr has owed back property taxes on his home for the last couple of years. As of this date he owes just less than $92,000.

Why has this property not been placed on the sheriff's tax sale list? Any takers on this?

I don't think that website is necessarily up to date. I also think it takes more than a couple of years of not paying anything for the property to go to the tax sale. They may have a payment plan established.

I believe this has been a 1 1/2 to 2+ year saga, by no means is this a recent development.

If you look at the entry above, the information from the Lake County Teasurer's web page was current as December 18th, the date it was posted.

Isn't that tax bill now over $140,000?

The Sheriff does not handle property sales for unpaid taxes. The Treasurer does first, then the Commissioners try.
The Sheriff WOULD handle a foreclosure sale.
Has anyone checked to see if the owner has filed a bankruptcy? That could delay the proceedings.,

When I was watching the campaign startup of Tom Jr. They panned over for a few seconds to Tom Sr. He looks like death warmed over. What happened to that youthful figure of years gone by? He's as skinny as a rail. Too much night life, or worries?

Watch out what you say.
I agreed with someone else who said the same thing and Sparks didn't like it one bit.
But it's true.
I'd say it could be worries. He owes a fortune in taxes, last time I looked was being sued by several people for unpaid bills including his wedding reception, and is going through another divorce.

That's easy.

Since DUMBO and the democrats have been in charge, democrat politicians across the country are no longer required to pay taxes. Of any kind.

Sure, they can if they feel like it, but it's not mandatory.

where the hell have you been?

Its time to drop the waiting period for selling, if you miss a payment, you have until the next one is due, miss that, tax sale. No more waiting years.
