Joel Markovich, former Lake County councilman, former biznessman from East Chicago, former jail bird from a federal prison for 18 months, is NOW being sued by his former lawyers! They represented him during the EC sidewalk scandal, and they say that he still owes them, $32,742 for services rendered. Add this to the $700,000 dollars that he MUST repay to the city of East Chicago, as ordered by the court that convicted him. He accepted this amount in city contracts during the sidewalk scandal. Well, he may be out of the pen now, but this boy does have a few worries to go!
