Has anybody recently installed an above ground pool in their yard? I have a 24' round pool, which according to the munster building dept is one foot too big for my yard (it will be only 6 feet from my garage, as opposed to 7). Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there drawbacks to installing a pool without a permit? Did the town specify the type of gates needed on the property? Is Munster out of control with this permit thing? I'm almost wishing I had never moved here, they make it so difficult to make improvements, and even contractors aren't excited when they here it's Munster where work is to be performed. You'd think this was an exclusive area the way they act with the permit requirements. If no suggestions, anyone interested in buying a new swimming pool? |

Sounds like your options might be limited to: 1. Getting a variance to have the pool closer to the garage. 2. Not putting in the pool. You can probably ask the building department what the procedure is to ask for a variance. Hope it works out for you. |
