Was there a restaurant operating back in the 1960's in or near Merrillville called "Mrs. Johnson's," or "Ma Johnson's," or something similar?

I posted this question in the "Restaurants" forum, but no one has replied.

I remember that Mom and Dad would sometimes take me to a restaurant with a name that included the word "Johnson." I can't remember too much about the place, but I do remember that by the time we got there from Hammond, waited to be seated, and waited for our food to arrive, I would think that I was going to starve to death.

I've reached the stage of life that makes me spend a lot of time looking back at the days of my youth, reminiscing about things that happened 40 and 50 years ago. I had a great childhood growing up in Hammond, and I enjoy thinking about those days.

Any details at all about that restaurant will be appreciated. Thanks.

Tom

Sorry Tom,

Not that I am aware of, I was born and raised in Merrillville and recall no such restaurant.
