and besides no bid contracts for each year,
and wasn't it nearly $900,000 spent on the fest? Got to look up my old post.

You are right on the money on this one.
But I believe there has been no auditing of the Fesr for all 7 years McDermott has been in office, not just 3 or 4.
I also think treating all those people to a dinner cruise may violate state spending laws for public funds.
If they could make a little money like the Pierogi Fest does, I wouldn't be nearly as opposed to it than i am. Whiting manages to attract many thousands of visitors without going into the red.
