Special Recognition:
Two Hess students were honored for their books they had authored.
The Science Olympiad Teams were honored for their accomplishments this evening. Many of the students received medals in various competitions.
The Hammond Education Foundation awarded scholarships this evening.
The Lily Scholarship recipients were honored this evening.
Unfinished Business/Reports:
The new playground at Lafayette is almost completed. Lafayette has never had a playground for the students previously.
Calender:
The next School Board Meeting will be Monday June 10, 2013 5:30pm at 41 Williams Street. The following School Board Meeting will be Monday June 24, 2013 5:30pm at 41 Williams Street.
Public Expression 2nd Session:
Ken Crandal(sp), HFD, said the former Little Leaugue site at Edison, which has been altered to a softball field, needs additional fencing to protect the cars on Calumet from a possible stray ball.
