Now, something to think about. Tom lives in a wonderful neighborhood, groomed parkway, lovely homes, but some hammond residents do not have the economic resources to live in tom's neighborhood.
This picture is of two homes side by side, one, the weeds are about 4 foot high, the other has some obvious "problems."
Now you would think Tom and his code enforcement department would take some action on such property, or have a contractor cut the grass. Tom has got a close friend who started a grass cutting service, maybe he could toss some business their way.
In either case, Tom chose to go after some of his political opposition rather than take care of business. I guess that is what politicans do, statesmen work at cooalitions and resolving problems.
Tom, do you think you can get this grass cut for people living in the neighborhood?
Maybe make sure their safe and they have Indiana Plates on their vehicles!
Now Tom, better yet, why not use some of that $150,000 in beautification money for a real purpose! Or better yet, delay that next $1,300,000 base ball field and work at improving neighborhoods.
