http://www.hoosiergazette.com/news/news013.htm In a recent Hoosier Gazette online poll, citizens of Indiana voted the city of Gary the worst place to live in the state. Gary sucks. I wouldn’t live there if they paid me,†said Mark Brown of Rolling Prairie. “I wish we would just give it to Chicago or drop an A-bomb on it to be rid of it.†No one arguing that Gary was a good place to live could be found for comment. |

I'd live in one of those beautiful homes near the lake in Miller if someone wanted to give me one. I was born in Gary. The hospital where I was born is now a police station/public works facility. I used to work for a company that was located in downtown Gary, at Broadway and 11th, and never had a bit of trouble going there day or night. |

I so cannot wait to see Rudy Clay begging the state assembly for money then I can't wait for Rudy's explanations on why the state refuses to bail out the city I can't wait to see Rudy file for bankruptcy See citizens of Gary, this is what happens when you elect idiots like rudy Clay to run your city Notice how he refuses to place any blame on his administration, how his predecessor is the cause, yet he says he knew this day was coming 2 years ago, AND DID NOTHING TO TRY AND THWART THIS FROM HAPPENING. You got what you wanted when you elected the guy Enjoy living in the worst city in the state. Its time for the state to take over the city, raze it, and start over |

The sad thing is Gary had a chance to elect a guy named Chuck Hughes (A 33 year vet of the fire dept) I dont know if this guy would of been the savior of Gary...but one thing is for sure, everyone knew what they were getting by voting for Clay. |

Daniels to Gary: Don't expect state bailout Gov. Mitch Daniels said there is little the state can do to help Gary survive a $13 million cash shortfall this year, and he said any city asking for relief for 2009 should come to the state with "clean hands." |
