Post subject:  TOWN COUNCILMAN CONFLICT

As I understand it, we have a real estate agent as a town councilman. This councilman while serving on the plan commission voted to approve Winding Creek whos' lots he is selling. Then went on to vote in favor of the same subdivision as a town council member. Recently the same councilman took on the role of town building inspector. So, he will be inspecting the homes he is selling. THIS IS CLEARLY UNETHICAL !!!

As I understand it, the town is currently advertising for a building inspector. :D So the real estate agent/town councilman may no longer be inspecting the homes he is selling. Or may be until someone is hired. Still it seems like there has been way too much behind the scenes  involved in the winding creek development.
P.S. Like Utopia and Havenwood they will be supplied water by Utilities Inc.. They too will experience increased water rates.

Someone said there is an investigation under way. Does anyone know if this is true?? However, I doubt that it will do any good. The councilman in questions term will end before any investigation comes to a conclusion. So the guy will get away scot free. Ironic the council can't seem to find people to serve on its Ethics Committee while all this hocus pocus is going on. Oh thats right, the council person probably has a close up relationship or belongs to the chamber of commerce, and school board..... ya know the very groups that would place members on the Ethics Committee.

Hmmm, Ethics Committee?? How can a board with what appears to be poor ethics properly choose those capable enough to serve on an ethics committee? Is this a joke?

This might be totally differnet subject. I do not live in Cedar Lake But I live close enough to hear the controversy.
Are these same politicians keeping the lake from being dregged and cleaned up? I hear certain ones have bought a great deal of lake front property. My bet is once they have as much property that can become available then the lake will get cleaned up and those pocket books will get mighty fat when the value of that land skyrockets.
Anyone who owns anything around the lake will make a bundle if they ever clean up the lake. With the urban sprawl that is taking place those properties will be very desireable. I only wish I had the forsite, money and connections to buy some myself.
